Jason Gagovski, is a graphic designer with extensive experience in exhibition graphic design, publication design, and brand and identity development for small, medium and large businesses, institutions, and independent agencies.

As a senior graphic designer with The Field Museum in Chicago since 2006, Jason has provided art direction and design needs—including conceptualizing, designing, and managing all aspects of exhibition graphic design from brand identities to exhibition graphics, and print collateral—for a number of exhibitions including Evolving Planet, George Washington Carver, Bunky Echo Hawk, King Tutankhamun, Mythic Creatures, Horse and Mummies. Examples of additional responsibilities included designing large-scale exterior banners; creating detailed installation manuals for traveling exhibitions and designing print pieces, publications, and maps for other museum departments.

As a freelance designer, Jason has provided a broad variety of graphic design for museum exhibitions, display graphics, and collateral publication design, including as clients: the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, Skokie, IL; the National Hellenic Museum, Chicago IL; the University of Chicago; the Chicago Architecture Foundation; and Taltree Arboretum and Gardens, Valparaiso, IN. 

Prior to joining The Field Museum, Jason served in the capacity of graphic designer with R Sirko Design from 1999 to 2006 providing graphic design for various agency clients including marketing collateral, publications, brochures, website graphics, posters, packaging, and logo design. Notable clients include Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design with a minor in art history from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2000. Memorable experiences included bookmaking and letterpress coursework with printmaker, Amos Kennedy.
